● Reological properties:

  • High viscosity at low shear rates which produces very effective anti-settingproperties.

● Application:

Used for imparting a shear sensitive structure to a wide range of waterborne formulations. These include household and industrial surface coatings(such as Water based multicolored paint, Automotive OEM & refinish, Decorative & architectural finishes ,Textured coatings,clear coats & varnishes, industrial & protective coatings, rust conversion coatings Printing inks.wood varnishes and pigment suspensions) Cleaners, ceramic glazes agrochemical, oil-fields and horticultural products.

Hatorite RD is a synthetic layered silicate. It is insoluble in water but hydrates and swells to give clear and colorless colloidal dispersions. At concentrations of 2% or greater in water, highly thixotropic gels can be produced.
